イグナーツ: え？ボクが、ですか？

ローレンツ: 君以外に誰がいるというんだ。ほら、休憩時間がなくなってしまうぞ。
茶器はその棚だ。君の目利きに任せる。

イグナーツ: は、はあ……。
Ignatz: Ah. Let’s see…
イグナーツ: これで、どうでしょうか。
Ignatz: How about this?
ローレンツ: ほう、飾り気のない茶器を選んだな。なぜこれにしたのだ？
Lorenz: That’s rather plain. Why did you choose that one?
イグナーツ: ローレンツくんが用意しているのは、渋みの少ない茶葉ですよね？
その茶葉は何も加えず頂くのが美味しい。なら紅茶の水色が映える茶器が良いかなと。
器に絵付けされているのは季節の花です。良い天気だけど、散策する余裕はないから。

Lorenz: Ignatz! Hello. What are you up to?
イグナーツ: うわあああああ！び、びっくりしたあ……。

ローレンツ: 驚きすぎだ。……絵を描いているのか？
Lorenz: Oh, calm yourself. What is it that you’re drawing?
イグナーツ: みんなの動きを絵に残しておいて、後で練習しようかな、と……。
人目があると、あまり訓練に集中できませんから……。
Ignatz: I thought I’d jot down some sketches of everyone while they’re training. And then, later on, I’ll try to practice their moves on my own.
But I can’t really concentrate on sketching if someone’s watching me…
ローレンツ: ほう、それにしても見事な絵だな。躍動感があって、今にも動き出しそうだ。

イグナーツ: そ、そうですか？……実はボク、画家になりたくて。

イグナーツ: ボクを騎士にするのが父の希望なので……画家にはなれないんです。

絵の腕も一流という稀有な騎士なら、是非、僕も雇いたいのだがね。

ローレンツ: 戦いの技術が騎士のすべてではない。礼儀、気遣い、そして芸術的な感性。
審美眼も絵の腕も優秀な人材など、貴族の値打ちを上げる逸材じゃないか。
